Air Force Awards Contract to LGC

U.S. Department of Air Force Awards 5-Year Contract Vehicle to LGC.
In March of 2017 LGC Global Inc was awarded a 5-year, $60M contract by DoAF for the performance of general construction involving design and build services for a broad range of maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction projects at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas.  Task orders under the contract vehicle range up to $10M each.

The $6.6M seed project under this contract, also awarded to LGC, involves the replacement of HVAC systems and under-ground fuel piping, rehabilitation of hot and chilled water systems, and replacement of air handling units, convection heaters, and fan coils in (3) occupied dormitory buildings at the military base.  The work will be carefully phased to cause minimal disruption to building occupants and is scheduled for completion in November 2019.

LGC’s tenure at McConnell began in 2007 with performance of (4) separate ID/IQ contracts awarded by the Kansas City District of USACE for design-build construction work predominantly at McConnell.  Task Order work performed at McConnell AFB alone under these vehicles exceeded $88M.  Outside of those ID/IQ vehicles, our firm’s additional project work at McConnell includes the 2014 Replacement of Delta Ramp Lighting, Ramp Lighting Repair in 2015, construction of KC-46A De-Icing Pads completed in 2016, and the recently started $3.7M project to replace portions of Taxiway Delta Ace.  The vast experience gained by our seasoned project personnel through execution of more than 75 projects at McConnell will ensure successful performance of upcoming project work at the base.
